Jessica graduated from the University of Florida with a bachelor’s degree in telecommunication news, and minor in business administration with concentration in accounting. A South Florida native, she began her career as a reporter and digital content producer at WSFL-TV, a Tribune Broadcasting station in Fort Lauderdale, where she led several successful social media campaigns and earned the Top Tribune Company Award for Social Media Engagement. Alpern traded the east coast for the west coast of Florida, where she spent years reporting and anchoring on WINK News This Morning, covering several natural disasters and high-profile national stories on CNN, CBS and Inside Edition. The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences awarded her two Emmys, one in Writing and one in Arts, Entertainment and Cultural Affairs. As public relations and marketing coordinator, she supports the development and execution of media relations, marketing communications and advertising coordination for ongoing client programs.

Fun fact? I began my career as an entertainment news television reporter, interviewing everyone from Hugh Jackman and Jennifer Garner to Michael Bay and Jim Halpert … I mean John Krasinski. 😉 One of my most rewarding interviews was with the real-life heroes whose true story inspired the film, 13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi.
